Default Help with 94 Integra LS

My friend has as you read, a 94 LS. He wants to run 12's or at least beat my car (LT1 Corvette, soon with boost.) I just installed an AEM Cool Air with him on his car, and after exhaust we are wondering which steps to take next. Keep in mind, he wants a daily driver out of it too. We were thinking either a bottle-fed LS/VTEC or just stay with the stock LS motor and put 12 or 15 lbs of boost....

Can anyone advise me in either direction? Or maybe a different way to get there without blowing the budget or going through alot of hassle? Also, how many horses would he be looking at making to run in the mid 12 territory, on drag radials?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

12-15psi will blow the stock ls motor. Ls/vtec is gonna have alot of down time to pull the motor and all. I say best bang for the buck is a drag or revhard kit for the ls and boost 7-10psi tuned, and he should be damn quick.

well it all depends on your budget my friend right now has a built for turbo ls motor for sale (built by dynamic autosports in lakeforest CA) so if you turboed that and dialed it in right you would prolly hit 12's, bottle fed ls vtec would be hard

any questions e mail me at caseyheerman@***.net

Alright so no Ls/VTEC then huh? What's a revhard kit though? And how fast would "pretty damn quick" be? Supposing that he puts a turbo on, the max boost it could take would be 10 psi? What could you estimate that he would run on basics plus 10 psi from a greddy turbo? And what would he need to reinforce to crank it up to 12-15 psi? Forged pistons and more fuel?

Once again, thanks for the help.

Stock internals, pump gas, and tuning will get you to 300whp. Forged internals, pump gas, and tuning will get you 350 whp. Add race gas and that will put you where ever you want. Of course this all depends on turbo size, injectors, exhaust, yada yada. If he wants over 350, get the vtec head. You won't have to run as much pressure and worry about effeciency.

Ok great to know. I think 300hp will be the target for us, so we can stay stock internally. But can someone answer the questions from my previous post? How quick would 300hp make an LS anyways?

Thanks
