help!!!
okay, i just went to pickup my car today, just got my new tranny put in. as i drove home i notice that at a stop the car was idling funny. it would idle correct but then idle a little high and then back down to where it should be. so when i got home i open the hood to see if anything wasn't hooked up and i notice the sensor for the air intake wasn't on. so i plugged it in and took it for a drive to see if this fix the problem. so i drove it around a couple blocks and it was still idling funny. so i turned around in a parking lot. when i was at the exit to the parking lot sitting there for traffic to clear i notice that it was idling low then high then low and then back to normal. when i pulled out of the parking lot onto the road and let off the gas the car acted like it wanted to cut off. so i gave it a little gas and it jumped forward pretty hard, so i ease off the gas and the engine felt like it was about to die. so my question is, what could be wrong? is there something not plugged up somewhere that could be causing this? is there something wrong with the transmission. i don't know what could be causing the problem but its dark now so i will check in the morning. just wanted some input for things to check for. let me know what yall think could be the problem so i can hopefully get it up and running. it has been a month since i have had it up and running and really need it for this upcoming weekend. hopefully it is something simple to fix.
didn't have this problem before the tranny install, what plugs would they have unplugged to put the new tranny in? is there anything else that would have been undone for the transmission install that could affect the idle?
