I just tried to adjust my valves............
I used the feeler and made sure it all fit good.
After every was finished with I put everything back together.
When I started the engine it was loud as f#$%!!!
What did I do wrong?

 

Did you re-tighten the screws that hold the adjustment nuts in place when you were done?

well, if they are louder now then they were before you started, you screwed up somewhere. Are you using inches or milimeters on your feelers? Could you possibly could have gotten the two mixed up?

Did you recheck all of them after you adjusted them and tightened the locknuts? They mysteriously seem to move sometimes.

 

im curious to see what procedure you used...

 

did you let the engine cool down and did u rotate the crank to tdc when u adjust the valves on each of the cylinders?
