Valves sound like a typewriter.
I had searched some threads for adjusting valves, I'm wondering if the measuring tools that were in the write up are necessary for me to tighten them?
Its a D16 non V-tec engine
As for another question what can be done to get these gnomes out of my engine?
Thanks...

well...no they are not "needed" but there is a special tool for it to hold it steady and tighten the screw at the same time, but you can make due with a needle nose and a screwdriver if necessary, just be careful
