aight i was out screwin around in the snow. i hit a curb and well everything seemed fine. i drove it a round a lil more then it jus stopped movein. goes into gear fine, but wont move in gear. i didnt smell clutch. so i think i broke an axle. the power axle when in gear jus gone ticks but doesnt spin. kinda like jerks. the driver side on spins its lil happy *** off. so whats the deal??? what did i break?????? some one give me a hand please.

 

possibly your spindles. or your differential.

 

so how do i fix it if its the spindels jus go buy news ones again???? hopefully i didnt **** it up that bad.

 

Yup. You are going to have to put the car on jack stands and look for damage/put it in 1st and let the engine pull and find the problem.

 

With luck, one of your axles just popped out. THe one that pops off wil just free spin. Look at the transaxle and see if there is a gap between it and one of the axles going into it.

 

ok this is what i found out both tires off car in air. started it and put it in first. driver side moves spins fine nothin seems wrong passenger side dont more and its hard to free spin. and it is wiggling right next tothe tranny

 

ok form a closer view on things this is what i found the passenger side axle kinda has a jerkin motion but doesnt spin. if u try to make it spin its hard as hell. the driver side axle well if i hold the shaft and spin the rotor axle dont move. so that CV joint is bad. but if that was bad why would it stop my car from moving i though it would jus make a click noise and still le me drive with the other axle. some one please help me!!!!!!!

 

Non-LSD trannies will put power to the easiest one to spin. If the axle is broken that one will spin.

 

so the broke axle will spin and the not broke one wont move?????
