Default Help!

Ive been having a problem for a while now, i have an ls vtec turbo. I have an msd 6al and want to install my msd 2 step module, when i finished installing it, i turned on my car, hit the switch, but it wont 2 step. I also put a module on my 6al to use as a rev limiter but that wont work either, it stops at 8k rpm no matter what ecu i use. Could this be my ecu or my 6al?

See the thing is there are no electrical problems, but i dont have another Msd hangin around, so i want to know if any one thinks it coupd maybe be a problem with the msd itself, or maybe something else like the cars wiring,
