Default Heater system electrical problem causing battery to die????

Hey guys,
So recently I machined and fixed my heads after overheating the engine. Since then, I have been having trouble starting the car - it has no problem with a full battery charge, but the battery slowly goes dead within a day or two of driving. I did a load test on the battery as well as the alternator, both returned good. I had a code reader that read me this:

P1166 Air/Fuel Ratio (A/F) Sensor 1 (Sensor 1) Heater sytem Electrical Problem
P1167 Air/Fuel Ratio (A/F) Sensor 1 (Sensor 1) Heater sytem Malfuction.

Weird note: Yesterday I drove it around for 2 hours with the heat on, and haven't turned the heat off since, and it has turned on without any sign of the battery dying ever since.

Weird Questions:
1) Is it possible that these errors would somehow cause my battery to not charge / die / slowly drain while the car is off?
2) I have no idea how or why my "weird note" works, or if it's just random coincidence
