Headgasket question??
The setup is:
b18a block, darton sleeved @ 85 mm (actually mic out at 84.6 ish)
b18c1 head
I bought a GE 85 mm headgasket, and when I put it on my block to check fitment, it was very very close to the edge of the cylinders, if not even hanging over in a couple of spots. I called GE and told them the deal, and when I mic'd the headgasket it was like 84.6-.7 ish.
My question is, how far from the edge of the cylinder do you need the headgasket to lay? I know they crush some when you torque the head.
I am planning on getting a true 85 mm gasket, so that it would be .3 or so mm bigger than the bore, is this too much? Anyone info is greatly appreciated...

yes, but I need to know if an actual 85 mm gasket will be too big for a bore that mic's out at like 84.6 mm... my question is, exactly how much bigger can your gasket be than your bore b/c right not its dead on, and on the verge of overlapping (maybe overlapping slightly in a few spots), and I know it will crush out some...
