Well i have an r-ideal head gasket from fmax, it's to lower compression. Well it seems sluggish, not too much, but it is a little slower on acceleration. The idle is funny too, i used to idle at like 800-900 rpm, now it's idling at like 600 and dips to like 400 or so every now and then. Also if i didn't install this thing right, will my engine leak oil? it's not just leaking down, as in dripping off the oil pan, it's also dripping off the front lower suspension arm, the one that's just like 3 inches behind the oil pan... yikes, i have problems, can any offer any suggestions?

 

Buy an new head gasket and have a professional install it......You "f"ed up some where.

 

who installed it? how long ago? where is the oil leak coming from?

what bolts/studs did you use?

what torque?

did you resurface the head?

etc etc...

well it's leaking from the timing belt side... it's leaking, looks like, inside the timing belt cover.. i've checked for leaks everywhere else and it's mostly dry...you think it could be the crank oil seal from when the timing belt came off? I don't want to pull that thing apart again.
