Headgasket/dowel pins
Ok so I have b18c block/head just came back from the machine shop and today I was going to put them together.
I bought a cometic headgasket and got brand new dowel pins but the pins won't fit in the block holes(do they need to pressure hard in or should they slide in?) also my cometic headgasket were the dowel pins go through the 2 holes are smaller then the pins. Was wondering if I was able to die grind the gasket holes big enough to make tem snug with the pins? Any suggestions thanks.

new dowel pins from honda?
if they are oem dowel pins they should slide in with very little effort.
since the head and block has been decked, you could debur the down pin holes slightly.
make sure the down hole has a little bit of oil on it, that may help.
Don't force it on.
