Default head swap question

I decided that I am going to swap a non-vtec head onto my existing d15 block which will have new pistons/rings/rods. my question is. What head should I use?I know a d16y8 head fits or any d16 head for that matter but what head is the non-vtec?
The reason i want to go non-vtec is I really dont want to deal with the wiring and I dont really see where the v-tec will help me alot. I figure with new pistons/rods and replacing the cam/pulleys that i can get enough HP that I really don't care about having v-tec or not. I'm not looking to build a high HP motor just something around 130-150 since my stock is only pushing about 92bhp haha.
Thanks in advance for any help or info.

well you had it right at first... its Vtec. second.. good luck trying to get 130-150 out of a D engine (guessing DX) without swapping heads... why not just get the stock wiring harness and stock ECU.. that way, you dont need to run extra wires and fool with the Vtec. but if you must keep it non-Vtec then get the newest d16y7 head you can find.

It's possible with the i/h/e and new pistons/cam/pulleys and such. I read on http://www.theoldone.com how they built a d16a so I know you can pull the power just a little work. I dont want massive number just something more than 92 HP.
Plus it gives me something to do over the winter. If I did swap the vtec head what harnesses would I need?

Also I've heard if I decide to run a turbo it's easier to tune around vtec. Samething with a supercharger. Is that correcT?

if you did the head swap, youd probably need the engine harness that goes back to the ECU. i dont know much about turbos, not my department..... but if you did not have vtec, itd be easier to tune if thats what you meant...

the z6 is 92-95 si or ex sohc vtec. 150-160 is gonna need some d16a6 pistons and the y7 head. If you use the z6 head, use the stock harness and add 1 wire for vtec. Its very easy.

What I am looking at now is a

d15 block with new arias pistons/crower rods
d16z6 head with new crane cam/valve spring kit
copper head gasket
venom or aem fuel rail/fuel filter
holley or bbk 62mm throttle body
aem or unorthodox racing pulley set
aem or jg edelbrock cam gears
nology plug wires and plugs
dc sportor airmass 4-2-1 header
cold air intake
exaust

i should get close to the number i want with that. any ideas or opinions on what i should change or not use?
do you have a link or anything on doing the wire for the vtec?

where do you run the one wire to? i was looking under the hood and around my floor boards. it doesnt look to complicated to yank the old ECU and run the new harness and everything.
should i use the d16z6 intake manifold or swap it for a different one? increase injector size?
