I am building a motor for boost, i have a built d16a6 block with a d16z6 head. My question is which head studs do i use? ARP doesnt make headstuds for the a6, will it be ok to use the z6 headstuds?

 

have u tried to see if aebs makes it?

 

I tried a search but couldnt find anyone that makes them, but there has to be someone who makes them. If im using a a6 block and a z6 head i would want headstuds for the a6 right? I heard the z6 headstuds are shorter.

Try golden eagle. They have a better head stud design anyway.

 

golden eagle doesnt make any, come on someone has to have done this setup before or atleast knows which ones to use and who makes them lol.

z6 works fine. I used either z6 or a6 i forgot. ( i had the same setup, a6 on z6 head) But if you saying they dont make a6, then use the z6.

However, if you ever F#$* with a y8 block, you will need new studs, just because whatever i have (a6 or z6) does not work.
