Ok so it's been about almost 3 weeks now and i have been driving like this but I have to figure this out now. gsr tranny:
it all started with my shift linkage coming out.(the stabilizer one, not the one with the bitch pin). I think my bolt was loose or something. I had to call a tow truck to tow my car home and of course the shift linkage was hanging on the ground... the tow man brought the flat bed truck and when he was draging the car onto the flat bed, he bent my linkage so i had to buy a new one.
I bought a CTR linkage and I noticed that it didn't want to go in any gears. I have to play with it in order to get that sucker in. REVERSE is the hardest to go in and at first...i thought it might be a bent linkage. And so my friend let me try his integra linkage from his running car and for sure his linkage is fine. He let me try his and it's the exact same thing. any sugguestion?
And also something is making noises from the tranny area when the pedal is disengaged...but when engagged, the noise goes away. ANy SUGGESTION? I'm guessing it's the clutch. oh yeah...the car was driving FINE before the linkage incident...

can the clutch cause it to not go into gear?

I'm going to say a possibility is that the rod inside the tranny (that the linkage (the end with the 'bitch pin') attaches to) has been damaged. I'd recommend pulling the tranny and inspecting it. If you're skeptical of doing it yourself, then try and find a friend or someone to help you out with it.

that's one of things i was thinking, i thought the rod might be bent since the incident. I'll pull out the tranny soon and find out. thanks.
