Halfshaft removal
For short the only automobile i ever owned was a 81 Chevy pickup which is alot simplier than a 95 prelude. At least suspension wise. I am removing the halfshafts, I have the pass. side out, but not sure what to do on the driver side. It either has an extension shaft or the whole shaft comes out. If the whole shaft comes out then I figure the stabilizing bracket must come off too. What is the best way to remove this shaft? I have a manual tranny also, if that makes a difference.

you should get a repair manual for your car..they help alot..also what your asking isnt too dificult if you get under it and take a good look at the situation..good luck
I usually just remove the intermediate shaft and drive shaft in one piece. The drive shaft is too hard for me to pop out of the int. shaft if it's still bolted onto the engine.
Separate the axle from the hub, remove the three dowel bolts, and the whole thing will slide out easily from the tranny. Guide the support bracket so that it doesn't let it catch on the alternator or subframe (or whatever's in the way on a Prelude engine....not the alternator I know that).
