half shaft wont come out!!! HELP!!!
Im trying to pull my tranny out..and my half shaft bolts in the block are seriously in there.. i tried.. me.. and a air rachet.. i was wondering if you could pull the tranny out without take out the half shaft.. by when i remove the bolts.. try to slide it to the side.. then out.. has anyone attempted this or done this???

half shaft as in intermediate shaft? its 3 14mm and i wouldn't think it should be that hard, unless whoever did it before you welded it

its hard to meld low carbon to aluminum, even with tungsten where dissimilar metals are preferred for that type of welding, given the position and uselessness of running a bead there im willing to bet it does not have a bead on it of any sort
try using an impact wrench, with those air ratchets they dont have enough intial TQ
i hate that too where its on the bolt/nut and you hit the trigger and it sends your fingers into a crevice or side of the block....gives you a good pinch huh! LOL

get some pb blaster, wd 40 or any thing that you like to use and get a hammer bang on all three bolt hard but not to hard than get a strong socket or breaker bar, take a pipe about 2 to 3 ft long and put it on the end off your tool and the should come right out. done it 3 times and it worked every time for me
