Default h22 crank in a b18

ive heard that a machined h23 crank will fit in a b18 (perhaps with reliefs cut in the block?) and was wondering if anyone knew this to be true. i'd imagine the main journals would need to be taken down and some reliefs would need to be cut in the b18 block to clean the extra storke, not to mention the right set of rods and pistons to match. i was hoping someone might know if the main bearing width was the same as the b18's and if clearnacing the block of the b18 would be too extremem to be plausable. if anyone knows about this let me know, any info would help.

people HAVE put the 95mm stroke crank from the 88-91 preludes into B series blocks though...

It'd be cheaper and run alot better with a new crank (stroker kit). But if your bent on doing it I'm sure it work, but with A LOT of work. Have fun finding bearing to make that work.

You can get a 95mm crank for a b18 for around $600-800 from eagle. I'm sure that's similar to the mods for yours to work and the 95mm will net you more power.
