took apart 94 gsr motor. burning oil found cylinder walls scored. i dont understand how it burn oil. scored walls because the ring arent sealing against the walls anymore so during intake stroke it sucks the oil into combustion chamber or what? someone explain to me how it actually get into the chamber? anyone knows?

 

you pretty much summed it up i think. i had a similar problem with a d16, when i took the pistons out the rings were uneven around the piston...just enough to pull the oil up...leaky seals sink boats.

 

i think? anyone else can verify?
