Default GSR crank in a B16

Hey i was just wondering if putting a GSR crank into a 00 B16a2 block and boring the cylinder walls would be a good investment or a crower stroker mini-me job. i would like to bore out the cylinders as much as possible while using a block gaurd, not sleeving yet so need temp six thanx in advance. if anyone has a displacment formula or a calculator hook me up.

It would take a custom piston or rod.Custom piston is the best way to keep the r/s ratio the best you can.Your looking at a compression height of about 0.980".I wouldn't go any bigger on the bore than you need to get the bore straight and round (.25mm or .50mm) to keep from weakening them.Talk to tom at Arias or the guys at CP or JE and they will help with design.

I don't like the idea of stroking a B16A. I would look into how cheaply you can get a B18C bottom end before going ahead with anything. This might ultimately prove to be a cheaper way to go. And needless to say, it would be a better way to go.

The pistons will pop out of the hole since the b18's deck height is 7mm taller than the b16. Like stated before, custom piston is the way to go. Wiseco
