Default GSR Build up

I have a GSR block and dont know what to do with it. I want to build it up. I dont really want to spend that much. I just want to smoke peeps on the streets. I dont really want turbo tho. I heard of boring out the block to 84.mm...So give me some ideas on building up my GSR block. I want HP...................thanks

How much money to spend then? Getting new sleeves to 84.5mm bore is going to cost you.

You can bore out to 82mm max i believe, but that makes your sleeves weaker. If you want to do it right, get it resleeved. That should cost $750-1000 for sleeves, then you gotta get bigger bore pistons, stronger rods, gaskets/seals/bearings. So it will add up.

If all that you are getting is jdm itr pistons 25 over, then stock sleeves would be okay.

Is it a GSR short block or longblock?

I am doin mine right now.... And im puttin CTR pistons in there with a B16 head, That should give me about 12:1 compression. Then im goin with a Skunk2 valve train and crower cams,Prelude injectors, ITR fuel pump, And an ITR manifold down the road.

Thats a pretty cheap buildup that should yeild some ok power

Yeah, its a GSR block that I have. So, CTR piston are better then ITR piston? Wont it have a high compression. I might have to use a higher octane in then 92??? Im going to put a Integra type r head in my GSR block. With one would be better, to mill your head or just get thinner head gasket????

The CTR pistons in a GSR block with an ITR head will have about 12:1, there shouldnt be a problem running that on 92 octane.

And personaly i wouldnt mill my head for jack ****, and i dunno if i would even run a thinner head gasket. Im all about the honda factory parts.

I'm running std bore CTR slugs in a B18c...B16a head and Toda B's. It makes good power. Haven't had a chance to dyno it...92 octane should be fine. Make sure you have fuel and you'll be good.

Got my CTR pistons from ITRinEJ1
