My transmission grinds into 3rd gear all the time, even if i hold the clutch down to the floor and push and pull the shifter in and out of 3rd it still grinds into gear. i already have a new tranny waiting to be put in, but i just wanna make sure it cant be a bent shift linkage, so i can get a new shift linkage and not mess up my new tranny. thanks

sounds like its just the syncronizers. So no it wont mess up your new tranny.

yep syncro's, try doing a slight tap shift into fourth and then into third and see if it still grinds....
