trans leaking from shift rod

Default trans leaking from shift rod

I just noticed that my trans is leaking from the shift rod. Should there be a external seal under the dust boot?

Transmission would be a lsd gsr

ya there should be a seal that you can pop out to replace...if you move the dust boot u should be able to see it

ahh.. ok seal is missing then. i was thinking there would jus be an internal one. i looked at all my other D series tranys and there were no external seals.
