I think I've asked you this before, but , are you sure that you don't have a connection crossed up, possibly from ignitor to coil.

Also, did you check the signal to the coil from the ignitor (black/yellow wire) and from the ECU to ignitor (yellow/green wire) The pattern of the switching to ground should match on both of these circuits.

Also, check for power at the yellow/green wire at the ignitor. If it has 12 volts on it, could be bad ECU or short to power somewhere.

well because you don't have a complete circuit you will have voltage on the negative side not until you complete the circuit. if I'm not mistaken the resistance on the coil is about 4-6 ohms which would not create a difference at the negative side. once the coil is grounded the voltage should drop to near zero. btw what kind of coil is this, what year dizzy.

the coil negative side is supposed to have a ground only when it wants to fire the coil, so if you have key on engine off there will be power going through the coil to the ground side. With an incomplete circuit (no ground from the Ignitor) there should be power.

What you need to do is put a test light in place of the coil and crank the engine, if it wants to spark, you'll get a blinking light. If you dont get it then I would suspect the ignitor.

Qfactor-its a 94 gsr distributor.

boostn420-Ive already put a brand new ignitor in it...thats what i thorught would be the problem but it wasnt it

And guys im running an MSD coil and ive tried to use an OEM coil but got the same results...no spark and power through the ground....
