what would i have to do to get a GSR ecu to work in my ls/vtec, because vtec is activated by rpm activation switch right now, but im not getting the fuel i need in vtec, my roomate said i need a knock sensor for it to work, if this is true, where can i find a used knock sensor for a decent price?

I would never run a P72... That is Honda's absolute worst factory ECU... The VTEC is way too low, and you just have to wire more into your LSVTEC (i.e. KS)... First choice for me would be make/buy an OBD2a-OBD1 jumper and run a chipped P28 which you can easily get for under $300... I don't actually have any right now but you can normally find the 11F0-1500 and 1720-1500 boards for $50-150 then chip them for about $20... The P05 and P06 take a little more work as they require VTEC transistors, etc... So you can see if you do it yourself you can probably save a little money... How much boost are you running??? I don't recommend anything over 5-7lbs (on a stock ECU) and I personally wouldn't run any... On our turbo motors we break in them in for 2000 miles (under 3,000rpm), install the turbo & Hondata, then tune immediately... If you don't wanna make or buy a jumper then the best plug and play ECU would be the 98Spec+JDM ITR... (P73-00) The USDM ECU will also work fine... Just make sure it is a '99 and older (OBD2a) ECU... The good thing about this ECU is you can normally find them for pretty cheap... My friend Albert (B18C1EKhb) runs it in his B18C/EJ6 there's a world of difference between it and the P72... I'll capture a short little video sometime if you wanna see why I say I hate the P72... We could put it on the dyno but you can see just from driving... The P72 will absolutely never break the tires loose and just feels like it's lagging the whole time, the P73 will get them loose in VTEC and pulls a lot better... (I don't expect a whole lot as this is an internally stock motor except for the CTR IN cam)... Just my $0.02... Latez
