hi, i have a 95 civic sedan auto dx, i just put in a gauge cluster from a 94 civic sedan manual ex. everything works except when i turn the high beams on the tachometer goes to 0 and when i turn the blinkers on the tachometer goes up and down in rhythm with the blinker. also the fuel gauge seems to be reading twice as much fuel than i actually have. so what is cause the tach to go crazy? if its because the cluster is for a manual and i have a auto can i fix this? and any idea on why the fuel gauge isn't reading right?

i had the same problem with my integra it was the battery ground wire. check that and all you connections. hope that helps

When one circuit, [high beams] has an effect on another "unrelated circuit", [tach] it is almost always due to a grounding issue.

I would check wiring at the cluster and the cluster itself. 94

 

well i couldn't find a problem so i'm going to get another one
