For mating a y8 intake manifold onto a y7 cylinder head, should i use the y7 or y8 gasket?

i initially tried it with the y7 gasket, but it was idling a lil high, so i bled coolant, clean IACV.....but ran out of ideas, so i changed to a y8 intake mani gasket.
Now it's horrible, start the car, jumps up to 3000rpm, idles a bit, then surges between 1100-2600rpm(warm), and a lil higher when cold. There's also this horrible sucking/hissing sound that seems to be comming from where the im and head mates(or area around it)
