Hey,

I have a b18b with a chipped ecu(skunk2 at the moment) i have tryed a pyr and a mugen and they all do the same.

When i start my car it idles up to 2 grand and stays there for a bit then after a few minutes of salowly going down it ends up at idle. sometimes when its cold it will even jump up and down a bit also. but always after maybe 5 minutes of driving it will be normal and idle around 700.

My explanation may not be the best but does anyone have an answer or even a guess as to what my problem is??

P.S. the colder the worse it is, but never over 2 grand.

 

Sounds like it needs a fast idle thermo valve.

 

does the idle surge at all when driving normally.

 

No it does not surge when driving normaly, only at idle.

After it gets driven for a bit(warmed up) it begins to idle normal.

When im driving nothing is noticed except when starting in first its a bit odd cause it may surge up and down a bit,
