Default Full Engine revamp/clean

I am rebuilding my b20b block and maybe some head parts.
In the process of removing the head and cam etc some parts got dirty.
I want to clean up all parts I can to free them of dirt/other particles.
List:
-Intake manifold (inside has a lot of carbon)
-Intake manifold 'ports' that go into the head
-Intake lines and intercooler (a decent amount of oil in both, intercooler has a good cm at least of pure oil in the bottom of it..)
-Camshafts and rocker arms (made a mess as I pulled the cam a little hard and some rockers fell off their points lol)
-Turbo headers (inside with turbo still attached should i just leave this alone?)
-Outside of the block by the header ports, safe to clean inside the holes?)
EDIT: is there a way to "clean" sensors so I do not have to replace them all?

i was told NOT to use brake cleen or anything with water to prevent rust?

Extra: while I was taking my cams out I tried to take off the cam gear but was not thinking and just tried to turn it loose (left) and I ended up rotating the cam and good half turn have I done anything bad?
