Default fuel tank...safe?

okay, so i replaced my fuel pump, and i had to drop my tank (i drive a DA)...well anyways, for some reason, i could only get one strap onto the car (there are two straps that hold the tank onto the car) well, i really dont want to drop the tank again, so do you guys think its safe to leave that one strap off? i tried moving the tank around, and it doesnt budge at all...its very secure with just one strap, but idk...would there be reasoning to use the second one?

take the extra time to put that strap on the gas tank.

Imagine hitting a bump and you tank drops, hits a rock then sparks, and KABOOOMMMM!!!!

Saftey should your first concern especially with a gas tank

well, thats kinda the thing...the tank strap made the tank flush up against the body of the car, which is why i can't get that other strap on...the tank has no give on it either, like i can pull down on the tank and it wont move, which means i'm gonna have the drop the tank all over again just to get the other strap on the car.

you should seriously put the other strap on. aggressive driving, pot holes, speed bumps, rough roads, etc. it'll all add up in the future. and if it does fall, you'll prolly end up buying a new gas tank, paying for damages on the cars behind you, blah blah blah. if it was safe to use one strap, i'm pretty sure acura would have designed it that way. empty the tank if you have to, grab a couple friends to give you a hand. laziness is most definitely not an excuse when another person's life is at stake. i should know...i maintain jets for a living.
