i did search,came up with no solid answer

i jsut finished putting together my car,it has been like a year sitting in the driveway.when i go to start it,it just cranks,does not start.my fuel pressure gauge reads 0,so yes im guessing its not getting fuel.when i turn the key to the on position i can not hear the pump "whine". since it was sitting for so long would this screw up the fuel pump? say the pump is clogged,if it was getting power would you still hear the "whine" noise? i know i connected all the wires correctly,should i change the main relay? i did refill the tank with new fuel as well.

try changing the main relay, if not that check to see if the fuel pump has any current running though it
