Default Fuel pump/FPR question

Yes, I searched

Just got done replacing the a lot of seals on my car, turn it on for the first time in 6 weeks and the fuel pump dies on me after 2 mins=/

I want to replace it with a hi flow pump since i will be spraying in a month or two. I have no fpr, guage or rail yet.

Basically what I am wondering is: Will it be ok to run my car with just the new fuel pump for now? Will it run really rich if not tuned? Should i bite the bullet now and buy a fpr and guage, or would it be ok to wait a couple weeks? Not that it really matters, but I will not be driving the car very much, if at all, until enxt month.

Also, does anyone reccomend a good fuel pump for my prelude? So far walbro seems to be the pick, but I hear its very noisy. Are there any other brands that I might want to look into?

Anyways, if anyone can help I would appreciate it, hopefully I can track down the pump tommorow and get it in the same day =]

thanks guys

At least get a guage and see if you need an FPR at first. More than likely, you will.

If you do a high volume you will def have to get the FPR and guage to monitor it...You will run way to rich with just the Fuel pump..Even a fuel pressure reg will work ok without a fuel pump if you rgonna spray a smaller...say 50 shot as opposed to a 100 shot...

oh well, i just got an fpr and gauge, I guess I was feeling cheap last night

Can someone reccomend a good psi for an H22A1 with just an intake/ignition? (I will have an SMSP Header and 2.5" custom exhaust next month, what would be a good pressure for that setup?)

let me know, thanks guys =]

stock should be around 32-38...Bump it to about 42psi..Se how it runs...Just play around with it to see which setting runs better
