Default Fuel pump to flow water? possible problems?

I want to use my S/DX fuel pump to flow water to my liquid intercooler. What are the cons about doing this?

The pressure that it flows is not that big of a deal. I am not sure that it will flow enough volume of water. We are running a Jabsco pump that puts out up to 5 gallons a minute. Just make sure that you are moving the water fast or it will do no good. Try to find out the GPM of your pump and make sure the inlet and out let is large enough to handle all the water.

Good Luck

maybe im wrong but wont a fuel pump that is converted into a water pump eventually build up a lot of corrosion and cause problems?
