fuel pressure wont hold!
...every time i turn off the car, i can watch my fuel pressure gauge drop, until i just hits 0 psi....when i start the car, i need to wait for the fuel pump to build the pressure to even start the car, and if i get on it good and hard while im driving i get a check engine light......ive tried 'pulling the codes' and so have others, but for some reason - it just dosnt.... another intersting fact i noticed, is that my gas tank does not hiss when i open the cap - obviously because the fuel pressure is leaking out......and i might be getting the check engine light because its kinda like when people leave their gas caps off and get a check engine light....
any theories on what my problem might be?
ive checked for leaky injectors, replaced them with known good working injectors, there is no fuel on or around any of the visible fuel system...
any input or advice would be greatly appreciated
thanks

sounds like you may have an evap problem.. the evap system may have a leak.. thats why you dont have that hiss when you take your gas cap off.. you can try to pressurize the system and look for leaks.... hope this helps
I would say it is your FPR being blown. When you shut the motor off it doesn't close so your pressure is bleeding back to the tank through the return. The tank is not pressurizing because the pressure is not being held at the regulator.
the eva canister is also known as the charcoal canister, it filters any excessive fumes. It usually has 2 lines that connect to your fuel lines if one of these lines are leaking or not on, you can loose fuel pressure that way. Also replace your gas cap, I just bought a new one for $2
I have the same frigging problem... very annoying
I have a Walbro 190lph pump in my tank, which is only a year old, so I don't *think* it's the pump failing. I've already gone through all the fittings at the pump end and replaced them with screw-type clamps instead of those stupid squeeze clamps.... still leaks...
Plus sometimes I can hear a soft 'pshshshshshhh' kind of sound coming from the fuel tank area when I've just shut the car off...
