Default fuel pressure problem.

I cannot adjust my fuel pressure below 80 psi.
I have an AEM fuel rail and AEM fuel pressure regulator and I upgraded my fuel pump Walboro 255lph. I was suspicious of the AEM FPR and I put my stock FPR back on and no difference. I was advised to make sure the return line was not clogged up and its not. Any other suggestions??? I need this fixed, my car is running too rich and have to get this fixed soon. Any help is appreciated.

hey if the vacuum line that goes to the fpr is broken or leaking it will up psi. or you could have a vacuum leak somewhere else in the intake manifold but then it would only be rich and then lean and then rich. i would check the vaccume lines.

no, there is no leaks on the intake manifold and the vacume line that goes to the fpr is fine. if the return line is fine where else can i try.

sure i can take it somewhere and let them take care of it, but is there anything else I can try???

i took the regulator out and took it apart and there seems to be nothing wrong with the regualtor. i pinched the return line that comes off the regulator and the fuel pressure rises even more, so at least that tells me that its not clogged there.

any suggestions??
i need some help.

Maybe you could run a line between the pressure hose coming from the pump over to the return line and put a fixed orifice in it, so it returns more fuel to the tank....3gdude
