Default fuel issues like usual

so basically been havin nothin but problems fuel wise. fuel leak originally, then a 2nd leak showed itself.

fairly certain i fixed both.. all seems well car drives 100% fine.

but the last few times iv gone to start
- starts up first crank no problem
- idle jumps and it struggles from 500-1200 rpm range all over the place

* tap the gas a few times, motor levels out 1200 and then drops to 850 when warmed up.

the idle does not flux after i hit the gas a few times, and the car is fine after it levels out.

so is this another fuel leak? and fuel pressure is low until it builds? or if it a fuel filter/injector problem..? just fishin for answers thanks

yes its a car lol. 91 rex with a ls swap with everything done to it.

ended up tossing on new fuel rail, stock injectors so shouldnt effect nothing. tossed on adjustable fpr cause its obd0 and simple things like 2-3 psi makes a difference. and tossed on a gauge on rail for readings.

basically had a leak at end of rail, cyl 1-2 were rich, 3 good, 4th lean. *fixed
2 weeks later, leak at the gauge on fuel rail. removed gauge and plugged. *fixed

first time it happened was when the fuel gauge fitting started to leak fuel, and was basically on empty on fuel tank also. started a few times, hit the gas and it leveled out, so i got gas down the road and it started fine no problems.

the last 2 days since it happened though, it cranks first try like dumb easy, but either 1 cyl isnt firing until i gas, or a couple are at like half potentional until i hit the gas

if you have a reliable ohm-meter that gives accurate readings you could test resistance at the injector resistor. Check the shop manual for your model engine to see what the values should be at. Always good to test before you spend money replacing things.

Also I have been thinking of putting an aftermarket adjustable regulator on my car, but the one that I found online says it does not come with instructions as how to adjust. Did you have to adjust yours or did you just install it?

its easy to adust. with the aem u just use a hex and screw it in for more pressure or out for less pressure. simple and takes 1 second
