Ok i just bought a green 91 si with a full ls-vtec swap runs and drives but smokes in high rpm and he gave me a short block with forged SRP pistons and forged Eagle rods in it but one of the sleeve walls was scarred pretty bad. So i took them out to put them in my block and i noticed the very bottoms of the sleeves were just barely notched for the rods kinda like a D series but less notching done.

The reason im posting this is because i was under the impression that you didn't have to notch B series blocks when you put eagle rods in them?? Please lmk asap i really need to know thanx in advance

Dude probably thought it had to be notched out, so he did a small job. That or he did it for safety.
