Ok.. I just swapped in a LS/vtec motor that i built into my eg. Runs great. But when i bought the head the tps on the TB was cracked so i just glued the pieces back together... but i would think since all the prongs are still intact it would work the same. Well come to find out when i press the gas and hold it at 1,600 rpm's the rpm's starts to fluctuate ,uuuuup, dowwwwwwn,uuuuuup, dowwwwwn.. but if i press the gas past 1,600rpms it goes away and revs normal. IT DOES NOT FLUCTUATE AT IDLE. Do i have symptoms of a bad TPS or IAVC? I took off the IAVC and cleaned it.. and still have fluctuating

 

Grab a multimeter and test the TPS output. With the key-on, engine off @ idle, the TPS should output ~.45. Now slowly rotate the TPS ensuring that the signal does not drop out.
