firing issue??

firing issue??
89 crx dx (yes still with stock motor...ewwww)
if i push start the car it will start but will not stay running...i get fuel. so thats why went checked the plug wires for spark. i get none...btw the car will not turn over on its own...starter kicks in and more turns over but will not fire up. any other suggestions??
im not getting spark on the plugs should i go for the 300$ distributor or should i try to replace the coil or the ignitor first to save a little cash?
