Default Finding and cleaning 1993 Honda Civic VX EGR valve
I was told that the only 5th gen Honda Civics that have an EGR valve are the HX and VX models. I have a VX and wanted to clean my EGR valve in hopes of reducing my NOx emissions, smoothing out the idle, improving mileage, and performance.

I´m not really sure where mine is located and if it needs to be cleaned. If anyone knows about this your feedback would be great!

clean the map sensor too.

Did you have any problems with the car wanting to shut off or getting a code 12 since it's pre obd2?
