Default FASTEST 3.2 V6 CL, TL TRANNY INSTALL

As the topic states I am a tech here at Acura of tempe and wanted to time myself on a transmission change. The car is a 02' 3.2 V6 TL and is having some severe tranny issues so I have the opportunity to change the trans. I would love to take some pictures as the swap happens but I would not be able to post them due to our I.T. guy. If any other techs feel like they want to join in please do.
The current time on my clock is 9:50 am. I will post again once the trans is out and
once again when Iam finished.

What the hell is taking so long? A guy at my place can do a TL in 2 hours from pulling it in to driving it out. MDX takes a little longer, 2.5 hours.

oooh, damn. I really like doing cylinder heads on sentra's now, it's easier to do those than to put the rear spark plug in any of the VG powered trucks.

Yeah the sentras are nice and simple. I would much rather do those then an intake gasket on a ka24 altima

done a lower timing chain on a 240 yet? Pays like 15 hours, IIRC.

I dont like doing anything on ka motors. We never get any 240s in, they just arent around this area at all.

Hey azfab, do you guys put in improved trannys or the same ****? The guys at acura down the street from me keep like 10 in stock for most models

Is it the 2nd gear thing still? if so, that is pretty gay.

Honda auto's are pretty unique (and cool because of that) though.

My unofficial opinion is that honda auto's suck ***. Cost me a crapload (even doing it myself) in my rat teg before I found honda-tech.

But <2 hours for ANY tranny replacement, that's excellent. I thought I was getting good after solo'ing a b-tranny in a few hours.

I have watched the master tech here do a rear main or clutch in Sentra's in less than 45 minutes with no help...it is unbelieveable, even when you see it happen.

The funny part is that this car will most likely be back in a few thousand miles for another trans !! I have been here for about 3 years now and I have easily put in close to 60 transmissions. We dont really seem to have any problems with the 4 cyl autos but the v6 ones are total pieces of **** !! Honda motors are great but the transmissions are junk.

We do so many transmissions a week it's not even funny. It's the V6 autos after around 99 or so, and Honda has extended the warranty to 100k miles to make good. The replacements are reportedly the same thing, it's a combination of a lot of factors, but the supplier is partially to blame, I hear.
