Failed emissions, What went wrong?? PLease help
I failed my emissions test and my reading are:
HydroCarbons (standard is 0.80) I got 1.83
Carbon Monoxide (standard is 15.0) I got 74.2
And after the test were done my car overheat too.
HELP ME OUT GUYS WHAT WENT WRONG.
I have a 95 GSR Integra
here's the specs:
1.) Skunk2 ecu with P28
2.) AEM fuel rail with B&M fpr
3.) Stock injectors
4.) Skunk 2 manifold
5.) DC 4-1 headers
5.) aem short ram intake
6.) jdm 5 zigen exhaust catback
7.) JUN stage 2 head package
8.) MSD whole set-up (ignition box, coil, cap, wires, etc.)
9.) Fluidyne radiator
10.) Fal dual fans
11.) Apex Vfac
12.) Stock buttom end
Help me out guys, I appreciate it

put in a stock ECU program for that engine. set the fuel pressure to the factory setting and check and adjust the ignition timing back to stock or even a little retarded.
as for your overheating problem........check to see that your thermostat isnt stuck closed or that your fan switch is accually turning the fans on. also check your coolant level and make sure it's full........

Start by installing your stock ecu, readjust your fuel pressure to stock(35psi @ idle), and reset your timing to stock 15 degree +/- 2.
Also, fix your over heating before you retake the emission test; for, this will affect nox and hc reading.
Also, make sure the vehicle is at normal operating temp. cooling fan cycled twice.

You have to have gas bench tester to test the cat. but however, you visually inspect the cat by tapping on the cat with rubber mallet - if the cat. rattles remove it inspect the inside with a flush light to if is damaged.
and, an 02 sensor can be tested with a DMM by back probing the input wire the voltage reading should switch from .3 - .8 volts within .5 sec and from .8 - .3 also within .5 sec. Now, o2 sensors are tested on close loop(engine at normal operating temp) @ 2000 rpm. no load condition...
but as far as to your ecm question, I don't know. perhaps some one else in here can help you.

recently i have a check engine light too and i brought it to acura and they told me they can't find any code for it. Is it beacuse of my Skunk 2 ecu.
well i have a civic before and i have dc headers 4-1 and I passed with no problems. Someone told me i can't pass the emission because of my Jun stage 2 cams but i know some people with jun stage 2 and 3's na dstill pass the emission.
