I just installed a carsound cat on my teg. I noticed some exhaust leaking out of the 3 bolt flange after the cat. Im wondering if this is a problem?
Its not leaking a whole lot but enough that conesation can drip out and i can feel some air coming out if i put my hand near the flange. I dont hear it leaking tho.
I ask because I have to get a smog test soon and I wonder if the leak will effect my results.

 

just pick up a new exhaust gasket at your local muffler shop and reinstal. i screwed my first one up too.

 

It never had a gasket to begin with. I dont know where to get one and the 3 muffler shops I stopped at said to get some high temp silicone so I got some copper permatex silicone. I hope that works.

 

It should work fine.
