Default EVO vs Thermal R&D

I have AEM CID complemented by a catback Thermal R&D exhaust, but have a chance to pick up a brand new Greddy EVO catback system for dirt cheap. Any opinions on whether I should stick with the Thermal or jump on the EVO...

If the size is different then it depends.

Naturally aspirated you are shooting for a 2.5" cat-back.

the EVO is 2.5 and the Thermal is 2.25 if I am not mistaken... If you could get your hands on a 2 week old cat back EVO for $200 would you be able to say no?

EVO is most likely 60 millimeters.

EVO is listed at 60 mm to 70 mm which is about 2.3 in for 60mm. Personaly I like how the thermal sounds and looks (full stainless). I say get the EVO then sell it.

i have a greddy evo full cat, i like the sound and the power gain, but i wanna go totally all sleeper look. what exhaust is quiet, gives you power, and most important of all looks stock. peace.

Is the EVO quieter than the Thermal?? I kind of like the Thermal, but I think it is too loud for me. I would get sick of it every day. I was thinking of getting a GReddy SP, but I think it would be too quiet for me. I want something inbetween. I want an nice throaty sound at ideal, while remaining quit (almost stock, but maybe a little throatier) at crusing speeds and when babying it. But I want to hear the nice perfromance sound when I get on it. I guess I would like it to act somewhat like an intake acts.

And advice? Would I be happy with an EVO??

My thermal is a deep smooth sound. Has a low purr at idel but you can definately hear it when you get on it, with no buzzing sound that you hear on a lot of acura's and honda's. I have also been told that if you have plans for forced induction, then the thermal is a better system on turbo engines

Please stop spreading mis-information...

Both the Greddy Evo and a standard (non-turbo) thermal system have the same size piping (60mm). The thermal is all stainless so it will last longer. I personally wouldn't switch one for the other.

If anything, I might buy the EVO to try to resell it and make a buck, but that's a hassle too.
