Every one Please Help !! Check Engine Light On After VAFC II Installed.
My car's check engine light is on after installed VAFC II last night. I'm sure the wiring is correct(Checked for mroe than 3 times); however, there's no more VTec kick in singal from ECU anymore, which mean if I don't set the VAFC Vtec kick in point, the car won't have Vtec kick in.
I suspect the connection of my original vtec wire to ECU is lost. If so, would that make the check engine light on? Are there any other reasons that would block the ECu Vtec kick in singal.

One more thing I just find out today, the rev Limited drop down to 6480rpm instead of the stock 7000rpm.
The wires maybe hooked up but still not right make sure the vtec wire 1 going in and 1 going out are not crossed.... sounds like the ecu is in limp mode....
most definatly have something wired incorrectly.
all you did was tap the wires @ the ecu right?
did you use t-taps, solder, how'd you do it?

Sometimes with those T-taps you just have make sure there's contact. Limp mode is what your computer goes into when a check engine light comes on, and it senses something wrong.
What is the code youre getting?
also, what type of vtec is it? Check the helms for the pinout on the ECU, I had a case where i neglected to rewire the VTM (vtec pressure signal) on a system which used that setup. Motor did exactly what youre talking about!

According to the VAFC manuel, the original VTM wire should cut out and the wire connecting to ECU should connect to the VAFC,a nd the other side should be remain un-connect. Am I doing things right?
if you have a VTM signal on the ECU plug, what i did was cut it and male/female connected the ECU side of the wire to the harness then taped off the engine side.
I also did that on my VTM wire.
And I brought my car to Honda today, they help me to put the lossing Vtec wire back to the ECU. They said the check engine light goes off right after they did that; however, when they go test drive the car the engine light comes on again.
So, what should I do guys??
