Error code for Too Lean
my 96 Delsol D16 had burnt plugs. replaced and pulled injectors but they looked ok. They all measured 14.2 ohms and looked clean. Plus they click ok when fired. I replaced the PCV valve. Wires are new. If I clear the codes it will run fine for about 30 miles..no missing good power etc. Then the code comes back and it starts losing power and hesitating.....
Have not recieved any codes for the O2 sensor or anything else......
What else could be causing this code?

It coulb be your o2 sensor you map sensor or failing fuel pump I would cheack puel pressure first. Since it only happens after your car heats up I am leaning to map or o2 sensor.
Would I not be getting another code if it was O2 or MAP?
I tried to unplug the upper O2 and it didn't give any other problems.....though I only left it unplugged for a couple of minutes.....Maybe I should leave it disconnected while driving.
I don't have access to a "pressure guage" although I might be able to tap into the fuel rail at one of the banjo bolts......
There appears to be a tapped hole with a setscrew in it on the rail.
If I make an adapter to fit there....would I use a pneumatic or hydraulic guage?
or does it matter?
Thanks for your input.......
btw....I replaced the fuel filter origionally also

It occured to me.....there may not be anythihg wront at all.....follow me on this
I added a short pipe intake with a K&N type filter on it.
Instead of the mixture being "too lean" as the code is indicating, would it not appear to be too lean if the injectors could not keep up with the extra air flowing throuigh the throttle body.....
I know the ECU woild try and make the injectors fire longer....etc to make the mix correct but maybe the program is not capable of keeping up.....?
I've been unable to find what type of injectors are stock for this engine D16Y7
I see a lot of injectors on ebay but don't know if they are physically swappable.
I guess the rail is rated at about 32psi stock??????
Would a different / bigger injector help the problem????
I'm just kicking the idea around....any feedback would be appreciated.
