05 Rsx-s just rebuilt the motor.
Just replaced both o2 sensors and still getting cel code p0134 for primary o2 sensor malfunction and p2227 for barometric pressure sensor. The CAI isnt clogged or anything. Idk why it would still throw codes for the o2 sensor since I just replaced both of them and reset the ECU. Any help would be appreciated.

technically speaking you can get an O2 code from other issues. I've had frustrations like that. I had a MAF sensor go bad on a customers car but was chasing O2 sensor codes.

Wouldn't it throw a code having to do with the MAP or IAT sensors? Should I replace it or what else could I look for?

how did you clear the code after replacing the O2 sensor?

Some codes are a 2-trip logic code. if the monitor had been cleared it would take 2 solid drive cycles before the code would re-appear. take it to autozone or somebody that has a obd2 scanner and have them actually clear the codes out.

Why did you rebuild the engine btw?

If the baro sensor is the same as the MAP sensor, is the cargoing into limp mode? It uses this sensor for air/fuel calculations. This sensor is a major player in calculating airflow and load on the engine so without it the ECU goes into limp mode. I would check the connection at the sensor and if that's ok and since they're cheap I would replace it. Could be a bad MAP still like I was thinking earlier.

you probably have a o2 code still do to the o2 readiness monitor not completed.


go drive around town for a good couple hours. see what happens.

far as the mass airflow.

check for leaks after the sensor. and get some mass air flow sensor cleaner and spray it.

I rebuilt the motor because of a spun bearing. Put in new crank and bearings. The car isn't going into limp mode. It still feels pretty strong powerwise and it will hit vtec and redline. I've driven the car for a few days and cleared the codes again and still the same thing. O2 sensor code comes on right away and baro code comes on a little after driving. No kpro yet

It also has a bit of an idle issue. The idle doesn't drop to normal when I'm driving until it comes to a complete stop and still sometimes it'll sit between 1200-1500 rpm

That'd be nice. There's not much of an import scene here and it sux. This is Louisiana and everyone here likes jacked up trucks and muscle cars. I got plenty of experience with b-series but this is my first k-series and it's frustrating the hell out of me

Hello, I have bought a honda civic 2 weeks ago, with an engine management light on. The Honda is 2003 2.0 litre I-VTEC. The code I am told is p0134 - Oxygen sensor.

The mechanic said he would fix it with a Honda part costing £175 + VAT, and charge £275 for the job fitted. Is this too much!

I rang another mechanic, and he asked lots of questions as to which sensor, as there are two?

Anyone got any information on these Sensors, are there more than 1, and do they cost £175 each??
