engines revs up & down at stop light
ok engine revs up & down at stop light no check engine light i took idle air control valve out and cleaned it and no change dont know if i should buy i also checked vacume hoses all ok
there is a valve called a fast idle valve it will be below the TB if your car uses it they are extremely common to F up. what you do is take of the flat plate with the two screws, the other end of the valve has coolant hoses goin into it. anyway take off plate and there will be white "nut" that threads down tight and they come loose and let WAY too much air through and cause like a huge vacuum leak.
EASY TEST HERE: pull of your intake pipe.... inside the throttle body, out side the throttle body plate ( intake tube side of throttle plate ) there will be two small holes in the TB suckin air if one is suckin a whole lot put your finger over it and see if it stops if you have a IAC and a FIV there will be two holes in the tb right where the intake tube hooks to it. one hole will kill it that one is for the IAC
