Okay, broke a connecting rod, bent another, and broke the block in 3 pieces... my head is still okay....can I use a b18b block? What rods/pistons will I use if I do.... do I need a block guard or vtec line for the block? Please help me out! Need to get my car running again! Oh yeah, **** AEM V2 CIA'S! I've had a CIA for over 3 years....hit a small puddle....and WHAM...engine gone. Thanks!

 

what head do you have?Im guessing its a dohc vtec but not 100% sure...

 

did you have a air bypass valve? just wondering?

 

yeah, b18c1 head....no bypass valve...if you're going to get a bypass valve, might as well get shortram b/c you loss hp with valve.

yeah...i know that the ls/vtec is alright, but i've seen a lot of problems with the conversion....if i use a b18b block...b/c that is what i have access to, will I be okay? what rods/pistons do i use? do i need a block guard? Thanks.

 

if you build it correctly, you have nothing to worry about. just buy the golden eagle ls/vtec conversion kit.
