Default Engine question

Have an intake, header and race cat for my Si. Been running the car for almost 2 weeks no problem. All of a sudden engine light came on. Took it to the dealership and they said that its the aftermarket parts I put on it and every time they clear the code the computer keeps giving the same code back. They told me they cant reset it. Is this normal? Will the system eventually reset itself to the new air/fuel ratio and turn the light off??? I dont have the code but will post it when i go to get the car. Whats the scoop???

Yah well, It shouldnt matter considering all of it has to do with exhaust, no internal engine work done. All I had them do was re thread a hole in the block that I messed up and when they put the header and cat back on thats when the light came on. I think they pluged the sensors in the wrong holes in the cat, but I wont know till I look for myself. If not then I have no clue. In past experience with them they couldnt even identify my camber kit when I had them do an alignment. They thought i didnt have one, i had to show them so..... They are stupid.

P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold. Thats the code they gave me. I have an aftermarket cat on there so.... Will the system eventually adapt or what??

no it will not adapt, you will need a o2 simulator to bypass the code, and get ur gas mileage back.
