engine problems.......................
Ok Put f-max kit on a 97 LS integra. Blew the headgasket. Replaced with another. The car wouldnt start. crank crank crank but wouldnt start. for like a week it did this. it would drown in fuel.
Fixed the problem, and then out of the oil breather, this white smoke/mist was coming out......smelled like fuel. Had bad compression in cyl's 1-2-4. cyl 3 was perfect. Then we realized we had the wrong headgasket- it was leaking in the back near cyl #2. But the headgasket we put on was for a 92-96 LS integra (what acura told us) we had a 97 integra-different part number.
So since they are the same bore- the cylinders should seal fine. So we thought maybe we knocked a few valves because the timing belt jumped. So we took off the head in like 2 hours and brought it to a machine shop.
They told us the head was in VERY good condition. No bent valves or nothing. The machine shop dude told us we probably washed out the rings, and need new rings................
SOUND RIGHT?????

Well then it is probally safe to say that you washed the rings out of the motor. pull it apart and look at the pistons, and the rings.
