Default Integra Problems...

Ok I have a 99 integra LS which has been fine since I bought it. When I purchased the car a year ago it had 70k on it, the car now has 89k on it. About a month ago the motor bogged down and completely shut off. I thought thought that maybe since it was low on gas that it simply shut down because of that. I then tried to crank it again and again but came up w/nothing.

Come to find out there were 3 bent valves in the head. Last week I finally got around to replacing the head, everything is torqued down to oem specs but there are a few problems.

First problem: When you crank the car it idles anywhere from 1300-2000

Second problem: The compression results are: Cyl 1 = 170 Cyl 2 = 160 Cyl 3 = 165 Cyl 4 = 140 When you pour oil into the #4 the compression went up to 170, somebody said that just means the rings are bad, but that wouldn't cause it to not start. That would just make it smoke.

Third problem: The CEL is throwing a random misfire code in cyl 4 (How is this fixable?)

Fourth problem: When aligning the cams in the up position if you line up the up arrows the notches on the cam gears don't line up, if you line up the notches only the exhaust cam arrow points up; the intake cam points a little to the left. Which way should I line them up?

It looked as if the belt was off just 1 tooth earlier today so. I removed it and now I can't get it back on.

If it was off just one tooth would it cause all of the above problems?

Yes, being off just one tooth with the timing belt can cause all of those symtoms. I once replaceds my belt with a over the counter belt that was a hair too long and with the timing set right it did the sdame thing yours is doing. i then went with a hoinda belt and it was smooth as butter.
